The fishing net, as a primitive and still contemporary material, can be recognized for what it is back in the 4000BC. Now in 2023, it is floating above the water level of Copenhagen creating a film of dynamic light and reflections towards the view of the city. The net as a tool is dual in its nature. In cases it could save you but it could also trap you. The art piece is exploring the dual character of the object through an RGBW light installation and the qualities of its semi-transparent perforated material that catches and reflects light through the wind movement. The installation becomes a dynamic sculpture that changes forms with the waves of the wind and the tunable lighting, accompanied by the natural sound of water and other natural elements of its surroundings.
