Lighting object

Lighting design: Danai Lytra, Agis Mourelatos

Project completion: On going

The concept is based on the idea that light is perceived via its shadow. We treat the luminaire as one solid object that we break apart letting the light escape. Repetition of wooden elements cut in specific shapes creates a play of shadows perceived in different ways while you are moving into the room. The luminaire consists of two main parts: The metal frame that houses the hanging system and the lighting equipment and the wooden blinds. Tunable white LED sources in diffused profiles are providing a soft and flexible illumination.
